This website was created in 2016 by Gary Smith as a place to share information about the ancestors and descendants of my Great Grandfather, Frederick William Smith, who emigrated with his parents and siblings from Great Bradley, Suffolk in 1848.

For me this is as much a voyage of discovery of current Smith relatives, as my parents divorced when I was around 18 months old and, whilst my father John (Jack) Smith kept in touch every year, I didn’t meet many of his friends or family.

Through my research to date I’ve found direct links to some very interesting families in the past including earls, knights & barons.
